Inside the exhibition
Imagine a painting that never stops being painted. Breathing with the Chaos translates the exuberant colour worlds of Japanese painter Ayako Rokkaku into moving digital art: vast, glowing image surfaces breathe, dissolve and reassemble before your eyes — room-height and with sound.

What awaits you
Good to know: there are no original canvases here. What you see exists only in Berlin — digital retranslations of Rokkaku’s visual language, created by international digital artists.
Rokkaku paints with her fingers, straight onto the canvas: colour before form, impulse before intention. The artists carry exactly that feeling into motion — layers of colour building up, dissolving and re-emerging on room-height LED surfaces.
AI acts as a medium of translation, not as an author: the painterly impulse of the human hand passes through algorithms and gains new light and new rhythms. The exhibition began at the Total Museum of Contemporary Art in Seoul — in Berlin, it keeps breathing.
